Holy Crap! They Won!

When I went to bed during the second intermission, the score was 0-0 and the Maple Leafs were outplaying the Bruins. If it wasn't for Swayman, the Maple Leafs would have had at least 2 or 3 goals because the Bruins just couldn't keep the Maple Leafs out of the Bruins end of the rink.

The Bruins passes were sloppy, their positioning was a mess and they just looked like a bunch of little kids trying to play hockey.

In the third period, after I had already turned my TV off, the Maple Leafs scored the first goal of the game. Fortunately, the Bruins were able to answer before the period ended, tying the game 1-1 and sending it into overtime where the Bruins scored the winning goal and moved on to round two of the Stanley Cup.

Their opponent in round two will be the well-rested Panthers, who will be the home team.

They head to Florida today and the series starts tomorrow. Puck drops at 8:00 and I hope the Bruins remember how to play like a professional hockey team before then...

In case you are interested, here is the schedule for the Bruins/Panthers series:

I suspect that the majority of those "TBD" times will be changed to 8:00pm. We'll have to wait and see what the TV schedulers come up with.

Ricky Gervais is the front man for a vodka called "Dutch Barn" and he has the best advertisements for it on Twitter:

He is a very funny guy.

My email reader is continuing it's learning and so far, it's doing a pretty good job.

This is what got dumped into my junk mail folder today:

There are 3 others from Trump's cult in my inbox that I had to manually mark as junk but 13 out of 16 isn't bad.

It will get better as I tag more messages as junk. Pretty soon, it'll just start dumping everything into junk and I'll be happy.

The Red Sox and the Twins game started at 2:10 this afternoon and there was another new guy on the field.

Some guy named Zak Short was playing third base and Devers was the DH. I'm not entirely sure why Devers was DHing but I will say that the SHort guy wasn't hitting the ball very well. Maybe he was nervous to be playing his first game with the Red Sox or...

...maybe there's a reason the Met's traded him to the Red Sox.

Anyways, The Red Sox broke the Twins winning streak at 12 games, beating them 9-2 this afternoon. They are off tomorrow while they head down to Atlanta where on Tuesday they will start a two-game series against the Braves.

On Wednesday, they will face Chris Sale so that should be an interesting game to watch.

Time for some dinner followed by some R&R. This staying up until all hours watching ⅔ of a hockey game is taking it's toll.
