Just a tad windy

According to one of my favorite aviation weather sites, Windy.com, the wind is blowing around 25 mph right now and they expect gusts to 45 mph. That's a lot of mph for wind. Be grateful that this is only a rainstorm because if it was a snowstorm, we would be up to our eyeballs in snow.

We've lost one Christmas decoration so far. Well, it's not really lost. I found it across the street but it is cracked like an egg.

If that's the worst thing that comes out of these winds, I'm okay with that.

And for the record, I'm posting this early in case I lose the internet. Cable and electricity are fickle mistresses when it comes to high winds.

I'm going to try and watch a little football this evening.

You should do whatever you want.

An "app" won't cure your depression.

I notice that there are a lot of television commercials advertising "apps" that help ease depression and other mental illnesses which leads me to believe we have a lot of people who aren't dealing very well with this covid thing.

Heads up people, it's not the end of the world. At least I don't think it's the end of the world. And if it is the end of the world, there's nothing you can do about it.

Take a deep breath (while remaining at least six feet away from others and wearing your mask), then go have a beer with some friends (who have had a 'rona test recently). You might still end up with the 'rona but at least you'll have had some fun.

Besides, 80% - 90% of people who get the 'rona are just fine.

All that aside, I can assure you that the only thing those "apps" will ease is a fat wallet. Those things offer nothing and they usually charge a monthly fee that you'll find is almost impossible to cancel.

If you need help, talk to a friend. They won't charge you any money and you'll get more help from them than you will ever get from any "app".

I did a little Christmas shopping today. That means I didn't spend a lot of time watching football (the Patriots won) or surfing the interwebs.

That also means I only found a few links and here they are:

Yet another quiet day.

The social media mob is having a field day creating memes with Trump at the small signing desk.

I gotta be honest with you, I think the man looks ridiculous on a normal day. Put him behind that small table and he looks even more silly.

The Ravens / Steelers game has been postponed to Tuesday because several Ravens have tested positive. Today we learned that one of the Steelers has tested positive as well.

Several other teams, including the Broncos, the Titans, the Cardinals, the Colts and the Browns have players that tested positive, which caused the NFL to tell all teams to cancel all practices for at least two days. They are also juggling the schedule to accommodate further postponements.

I'm getting the impression we may be seeing the beginning of the end of the football season.

I was hoping to see the ISS go over this evening but I was an hour too late.

My next good opportunity is December 7th at 5:46pm.

The few links that I managed to dig up are shown below:

It's Friday

I wouldn't call it "Black Friday" because according to the news, there didn't seem to be a lot of people out shopping today. There were some but not like it used to be.

My daughter worked today and she said the traffic wasn't terrible either this morning or this afternoon so that kind of backs what the news said.

Also, based on the number of times I see a UPS truck (twice a day), a FedEx truck (once a day) or an Amazon van (at least three times a day) on my little street, I'd say most people are doing their shopping online.

I found the following for you:

Merry Thanksgiving everybody

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

The NFL postponed tonight's Steelers game so I'll try to update later.

It was "drive like an asshole" day.

I ran a few errands today and holy crap, I was pretty sure I was going to get t-boned.

One of my stops involved fueling my car. As I was pulling away from the pump, some woman decided she really needed to pull out of her spot into the side of my car. I honked and she stopped before hitting me but that little event foreshadowed what was coming.

A few minutes later, I was stopped in the left lane, waiting to make a left turn into the parking lot. That was when the little old man with the coke-bottle glasses driving the giant 1980 Oldsmobile Delta 88 decided he was going to pull out directly into oncoming traffic. This caused the poor young lady who was driving down the road to panic and swerve into my lane. At the last second, he stopped and she managed to get back on her side of the road.

Finally, I was waiting to pull out of my parking space when the woman two parking spaces over decided she couldn't possibly wait for the guy who was driving in the travel lane and she backed into him. I was not involved but it was an indication that I should probably get my ass home before I ended up needing to buy a new car.

I like my car.

Tomorrow is the day we eat lots of food, watch football and fall asleep on our couches.

The next day is the day we eat lots of leftovers, spend our money on "Black Friday Deals" and fall asleep on our couches.

Turns out this is a crappy week.

This has been a hard week for a bunch of us MassMutual alumni.

First we lost our buddy Ken, then we lost our friend Mary and finally, our friend Scott lost his son to cancer.

I know that at some point, things will get better but right now, they kind of suck.

Trump will never admit defeat but the GSA has finally got around to certifying that Biden won the election. This means that there is now funding for Biden's transition as well as a process for Biden and his staff to get briefings on what is going on with the world. What it really means is that we are no longer being hung out to dry by that spoiled little brat.

I gotta be honest with you, I was more than a little concerned about what the enemies of the US were thinking while this was all going on. I imagined some binladen-type terrorist planning an attack because he realized that the US government was disjointed and the outgoing administration wasn't sharing information with the incoming administration. I imagined North Korea and Krazy Kim thinking it would be a good time to maybe nuke Japan or something like that.

Continuity is a necessity when it comes to security.

I have decided to start my Christmas shopping as early as possible. Usually I'm the guy running around like a crazy man on Decmber 23rd, trying to find things for my wife and I don't want to be that guy this year.

I figure that the way this year is going, something will go terribly wrong and I won't get any Christmas presents for my wife.

Trust me, that would be bad.

Found this today and thought it was funny

Let the Christmas shopping begin

I went out and bought myself a new shaver today. When I got home, I told my wife, "This is my Christmas present. Do you want to wrap it or can I just go plug it in and get it charged so I can shave tomorrow morning?"

She told me to just plug it in.

And that, my friends, is the best way to go Christmas shopping. Go buy what you want for yourself and tell your spouse, "This is what you got me." No one has to stress over finding the perfect gift and no one has to lie & say, "Oh, it's just what I wanted!"

My wife, however, likes to be surprised. She won't buy herself a nice present. So I told my daughter, "Find something nice for mom and tell me how much I owe you."

My daughter is a saint.

No, Trump still hasn't admitted he lost.

I have a feeling that on January 20th, five guys in black suits are gonna show up at the White House and carry him, kicking & screaming like the child that he is, out to the curb on Pennsylvania Ave and toss him unceremoniously into the gutter.

I hope they film it because that would be funny to watch.

I am not going to watch any football this evening simply because it's on too late.

As far as I'm concerned, all sporting events should start no later than 7:00pm eastern time.

Now, you kids get of my lawn! And someone find out what the early bird special is down at the diner...

The damned Patriots lost

They scored the first touchdown of the gae but that was their only lead. The Texans scored to tied the game and then took a 10-21 lead at the half.

The game ended with a score of 20-27 in favor of the Texans.

I have my doubts about Newton returning in 2021...

Not much else going on in the world today. Trump still refuses to admit that he lost the election and 'rona is still killing a lot of people.

It's a dogs life

This is my pillow.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My pillow is my best friend. It is my life.
I must hug it as I master my nap.

If you have been reading this spewage for any length of time, you know that my house is home to various creatures. One of them is this little dog, The Small Dog. There are also two cats, The Sisters. I think I'll call them Cat1 and Cat2. There is also a chinchilla, a hamster and a fish. We used to have many other creatures wandering around but those critters are now all residents of the great beyond.

The point of this is to let you know that when a creature enters this house, they begin to live a life that people living in third-world countries would envy. When she was a child, my daughter wanted to bring goats, pigs and horses into the house but I issued an edict that farm animals are not allowed. I spent a lot of time on a farm and there is one thing I know about farm animals - they poop. A lot. And they don't care where they poop.

You haven't lived until you've experienced the thrill of doing the unexpected splits because you accidentally stepped in a freshly issued pile of cow shit.

There was a big sign on the entrance to Walgreens today that said, "No, we don't have the covid vaccine."

That leads me to believe that some people have been going in to Walgreens and saying, "Give me one of them thar 'rona shots!"

That also leads me to believe that some people are morons.

So much for "herd immunity"

When this whole 'rona thing started up and all the scientists were telling us to isolate from each other, Sweden decided to have a go at something called "herd immunity".

Herd Immunity is the concept that if you allow the virus to infect as many people as possible, eventually everyone (at least those left alive) will develop a natural immunity to it. This is basically what Sweden's Chief Epidemiologist convinced the Swedish government would happen if they just let the Swedes do what they wanted to do.

Well, in a true representation of that old adage, "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry", it turns out that Sweden's strategy was a complete failure.

I'm not sure if Dr. Anders Tegnell still has a job or not but it'll probably be a cold day in hell before anyone listens to him again.

Warning: I am about to insult Trump and Giuliani

Yes, Trump is still claiming he did not lose the election.
No, he has not started the process of an orderly transition.
Yes, this is going to go bady for all of us.
Yes, Trump and Giuliani are complete assholes.

I hate politics

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you one of my favorite rants.

Nothing has gotten better over the last four years and I suspect it's going to get worse over the upcoming four years. Biden is no different than Trump or Obama because he thinks he is always right. He thinks his opinions are the opinions of everyone in the country because he surrounds himself with "supporters" (or as I like to call them, "Yes Men") who tell him everyone thinks he is wonderful.

That, and the fact that I'm pretty sure he was dropped on his head as a baby and sometimes weird things come out of his mouth. Things like, "Jill, if there's ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house."

Remember, the most important thing you can do in this life is watch over your family and friends. To that end, might I suggest that you stock up on extra ammo.

And cheese balls.

You can never have enough cheese balls.

Speaking of dangerous and idiotic, Trump has decided that since he can't be president, no one can be president.

It's bad enough we are heading into a Biden presidency, but now it looks like Trump is trying his hardest to make it worse by screwing things up. He's like a spoiled little thug who burns the mall down because he got kicked out of the CVS for shoplifting a candy bar.

It would be very nice if, one day, in the future, we hire a president who gives a shit about us instead of himself, his policies or his legacy.

I'm going to see if there is anything worth eating in our fridge so I can make some dinner. Then I'm going to watch some bad television. And finally, after all that, I'm going to fall asleep so I can wake up and do it all over again tomorrow.

While I do that, you can do these:

Not a long day

It was a bit chilly today but not overly busy.

My favorite kind of day.

This, in a nutshell, is the problem with the democrats.

For some reason, the leadership in that party is unable to control the message and these loud-mouthed socialists are destroying what little support the democrats have outside of the big cities. It's that kind of bullshit that got us Donald Trump in the first place.

Pelosi and Biden need to rein those people in and present a message to the public that doesn't include, "So you borrowed $120,000 from the American taxpayers to get a four year bachelor's degree in Art History and now you can't find a job? You can't pay the loan back? No problem, we'll just forgive the loan and you can go on making really shitty life decisions without any consequences."

The message should be, "The federal government will pay your loan off for you if you join the military for 6 years. Your choice of branch as long as that particular branch has a need for you." That is a message that the average working stiff can tolerate.

If this keeps up for the next four years, we are going to end up with another Trump, or someone worse, presidency in 2024...

Still no moves within the Red Sox organization. Then again, there haven't been a lot of moves within most ball teams.

I think the shortened season and the cheating scandal has caused the teams to be a little careful with changes in their organization. I think ownership is asking, "What kind of guy is this guy? We saw what he can do during a 60 game season but how will he perform in game 120 or 150 or 160? Will he be a problem in the clubhouse? Is he worth what he's asking?"

I think we're going to see lower salaries and shorter contracts being offered and that is going to piss off the MLBPA. The last thing that union wants is for pay to go down.

Now I have a FAA presentation to sit through.

Late post

Today was the day we celebrated our daughter and her graduation from vet school. We invited all of the staff of the vet clinic she works at because they all helped her on her journey to achieving her life dream.

We came in one person under the limit of ten people at a table and we had a very nice meal at The Hampden House. The conversation was boisterous & funny and we ended up sitting there for more than three hours.

Now we are home, I am in my stretchy pants because I'm full of food and I'm waiting for the 8:20 start of the Patriots game.

I realize none of that matters to you but I felt compelled to share it so you know why this is a short post with very few links.

My lawn looked nice for an hour

I ran my lawn over with my fully-functional lawn tractor this morning but since the guy across the street hadn't done his leaves, they blew across on to my lawn.

Oh well.

I've lived in New England my entire life and if there is one thing I know, fall in new England is a lot like painting the Golden Gate Bridge - when you finally finish at one end, you have to start all over at the other end.

Other than re-hiring Cora as their manager, the Red Sox haven't done much this off-season.

I was hoping they might at least pick up some low-cost guys who showed promise last season.

What do you do when your wife & daughter want grilled steak for dinner and it's dark outside?

You grab one of your shop lights, an extension cord and your step ladder, that's what you do.

They turned out pretty damn good by the way.

Early start.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning because, well, I'm old and I had to go to the bathroom. I went back to bed but couldn't fall back to sleep so basically, I've been up since 4:30.

To my loyal readers that manage to sleep all night long, enjoy it while you can. As you get older, you will find that sleeping straight through the night is akin to a miracle.

Maybe I should stop drinking ice water all evening long...

My youngest is in the process of changing jobs.

He moved from Keene, NH to Boston in August and at the insistence of his boss, has continued working at Keene State College. She asked him to stay on until at least December. He has been remote four days a week and he drives to campus one day each week.

During the last three months, he has been interviewing in the Boston area and stressing that his time at Keene was coming to an end soon. Well, he finally found something that he feels pretty good about.

Hs mom and I are happy for him because there is nothing worse than being unemployed. We would never let him starve but he does not want to rely on us. He is a man and he wants to take care of himself.

And he is taking care of himself.

I'm going to make some dinner and then fall asleep early.

Covid is on the rise

We are beginning to see a lot of new cases of the 'rona in our area. The hospitals are far more prepared for this surge than they were in March but there is a finite number of resources and if this thing overwhelm us like it did in April and May, we're kinda screwed. The government will shut everything down and we'll all end up sitting in our houses, watching bad television.

I like being able to meet up with my friends for a few drinks every so often and if this thing shuts the bars and restaurants down again, I'm gonna be pissed.

Tonights sports event is football and it has the Colts traveling from Indianapolis to Tennessee to play the Titans.

I'm going to watch some news and then some football. While I do that, you can do these:

Today is Veterans Day

If you see a vet today, buy them a beer.

For the last year, I have been unable to start my lawn tractor without using starter fluid and it's always kinda pissed me off. It's a quality machine with a high-end engine and I should be able to figure out what the hell is wrong with it.

When I turned the key to start it, it would just spin and spin but never fire. It was like it wasn't getting any gasoline into the carburetor. I looked at everything - the fuel jets, the fuel pump, the fuel line. Hell, I even disconnected the fuel line and spun the engine to verify that the pump was working and, trust me, it was. It squirted gas out like a small garden hose.

The engine is a Briggs & Stratton Intek v-twin delivering around 26 hp. I've downloaded the owners manual and researched every inch of the carburetor but to no avail.

Well yesterday I happened upon a Youtube video that explained how the manual choke works and how a loose throttle cable can prevent it from being engaged. This caused me to say out loud, "Sonovabitch! I bet that's it!"

I checked and found that the damned cable was loose and even though I set the throttle to choke, the manual choke was never engaging. I pulled out my trusty screw driver, loosened the nut holding the cable clamp, adjusted the cable so the choke was engaged when it was supposed to, tightened down the clamp and voila, the engine fired right up like it was fresh from the factory.

I may have mentioned this before but Youtube is my go-to place for most things mechanical. It seems that for every problem I run into with a piece of machinery, someone else has run into the same problem and they took the time to record the repair. I'm of the opinion that those people are saints and I usually click on whatever advertising they have on their video just to make sure they get some pay for their effort.

So anyways, I am a happy guy. If anyone needs any starter fluid, I have a brand new can.

Holy crap! They won!

The Jets took an early lead in last nights game and they held on to it through three and a half periods. When I went to bed in the middle of the third period, the score was 20-17 in favor of the Jets. I fully expected to wake up this morning to the news that the Jets had finally won a game.

Imagine my surprise to learn that the Patriots managed to score 13 points in the fourth period and beat the Jets 30-27.

It was a shitty win but a win none-the-less. I'll take it.

Don't get me wrong, the Patriots still kinda suck and they really need to get Newton on track or there is a distinct possibility they might have just won their last game.

Not much else going on today. I finished up work and then ran over to a friends house to move his cable modem/router to another room and get the interwebs up and running.

Nice slow day today

Today was one of those days where I opened the windows for the cats and The Dog. They all crowded onto the back of the couch and watched the world go by while I worked in my office.

At some point, they all came up stairs and found a sun spot to sleep in. This is their way of keeping me company.

I have no idea what happened with the stock market today. At one point it was up 1,500 points and it closed up 800 points. That's a lot of points.

When it first opened and skyrocketed up 1,500 points, I was ready to call my boss and retire.

Turns out that probably would have been a bad idea.

The Patriots are in New Jersey to play the team with the worst record in the NFL, the Jets. If they lose to the Jets, they might as well hang it up and put their season to bed.

The game starts at 8:15 and I'm hoping to make it to the half. Maybe I'll see Newton play great. Maybe I'll see Newton suck and Stidham step in to play great. Maybe I'll fall asleep thinking to myself, "Well that sucked."

I'm actually hoping that the game is good enough to keep me awake long enough to see all four periods.

I'm trying it again

Despite my best efforts, the drought managed to turn my backyard into a field of crabgrass.

There is, however, one spot where nothing grew. It was the spot where The Large Main Dog always pee'd. When I say his pee was poison, I mean it was poison to the max. When even crabgrass won't grow, you know it's bad.

Well, I figure it's been long enough that the soil may have shed it's pee poisons and I might get some grass to grow there. So this afternoon, The Small Dog and myself broke the ground up, raked it smooth and picked out all the stones. Then we threw some grass seed down and raked it in a bit. They are predicting rain for later in the week so that will help it start the growing process.

If the grass grows and this spring there is a nice 10 foot around patch of grass growing there, we will designate it as Kirby Memorial Park and admire our work.

Actually, to be honest with you, I did all the work. The Small Dog does not have opposable thumbs and can't handle a rake. She just wandered around the yard, sniffing and pooping. But hey, she was with me so I'll give her credit for the work.

No Patriots today but the Steelers are playing the Cowboys right now.

The Cowboys are playing slightly worse football than the Patriots, with a 2-6 record. The Steelers are undefeated with the best record in the NFL at 7-0.

I'm hoping the Steelers end the day at 8-0 for two reasons:
  1. I hate the Cowboys. Always have, always will. Their owner, Jerry Jones, is a raging asshole.

  2. I like the Steelers. Always have, always will. Their owners, The Rooney Family, is made up of decent people who treat their players with respect. They are a lot like the Kraft family.
Right now, the score is 3-0 in favor of the Cowboys and both teams are playing some pretty good football.

If you hear anyone yelling things like, "THROW THE DAMNED BALL!" or "You call that a block? That's not a block. A block is when you actually STOP THE DEFENDER FROM HITTING THE QUARTERBACK!", you can assume it's coming from my house.

Alex Trebek died today. I'm not a huge fan of him or Jeopardy but he struck me as a decent human being. He made it to 80 before succumbing to that shitty disease known as cancer.

If I make it to 80, I'm gonna start smoking again. At that point, screw it, might as well enjoy myself.

Well, that's that.

It appears, and this is just guesses on the part of all the so-called experts, that Joe Biden has enough votes to become President of the United States.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we are screwed.

Don't get me wrong, we were screwed no matter who won but at least with Trump we had an idiot we knew. Now, we have an idiot who makes no sense at all and is willing to be cajoled into doing things that are going to be bad. Very, very bad. I remember when he was Vice President, Obama spent an inordinate amount of time either correcting or explaining things that Biden said.

What the democrats don't understand is that the reason Trump was elected in the first place is because of the democrats policies. They have migrated towards socialism, they are racist (trust me, they are) and they pass laws that are incredibly draconian and then call the cops racist for enforcing those laws.

I was not happy with Trump as President but I fear I'm going to be genuinely frightened with Biden as President.

It might be time to stock up on ammo.

Now that Cora is back in Boston, I'm hoping the Red Sox begin rebuilding. They have some holes that need to be filled, particularly in pitching and the outfield.

Bradley is most likely gone, Betts is long gone, Benintendi had a terrible time last season and only played in 14 games last season. They have that kid Verdugo who was pretty impressive but he can't play the entire outfield by himself. They need at least two other guys out there...

As for pitching, Sale is still recovering from surgery and probably won't be available until June or July. Rodriguez is dealing with covid-related myocarditis and may not be the same guy he was in 2018. Evoldi is a horse who pitches like a machine but always seems to break down in mid-season.

I'll be watching to see what Bloom does and I'm really hoping he is as good as everyone says he is. When he was in Tampa, he was considered a wonderkind and the team he built made it to the World Series in 2020.

I went to a wake today for my mom's next door neighbor. Max was a good guy who managed to live through WWII, 25 year on the Mass State Police, 69 years of marriage and 93 years of life.

Not a bad run.

He's back

It's being reported in the Boston media that the Red Sox have re-hired Alex Cora as their manager. Depending on your point of view, this may be a good thing or it may be a bad thing. As I said back on October 30th, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about them bringing him back.

On the one hand, he was a good manager. He has baseball smarts, he studies his players, knows their strengths & weaknesses and he is highly respected by them. They want to succeed for him because he knows what they can do to achieve success. On the other hand, it's been reported that he was the one who invented the "sign-stealing trashcan-banging" routine the Astro's used to fraudulently acquire a World Series trophy.

I'm still not sure how I feel about him being brought back to the Red Sox but I do know that when he was there before, I was happy with the way the team played.

My current plan is to keep a good thought and see how things play out. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Time for another Election 2020 update:
Nope, there is still no clear winner in the presidential race but we learned today that Yeezy has conceded the race. No word on who he is throwing his support behind.

I predict we will know who the president is on December 15th because the Electoral College casts its votes on December 14th. Until then it's going to be a shitshow of lawsuits, name-calling and whining about how everyone cheated.

I will tell you that Nancy I'm just a little bit psychotic Pelosi is getting nervous because the Democrats lost five seats in the house and the Republicans picked up six seats. This means the Democrats have an approximate 20 seat majority out of the 435 seats in the house. That's kind of a slim margin.
This has been your Election 2020 update.

As we prepare to leave the election section, let me just toss this brief bit of humor at you:

It stayed clean

I was pretty shocked when I looked out my window this morning to see there were no leaves on my lawn. I figured for sure all the leaves on my neighbors front lawn would have blown across the street onto mine.

And yes, I know that those leaves will still blow across the street and end up all over my lawn but now that the fertilizer is down, it's not a big deal.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still be pissed at my self-centered, lazy neighbor for not picking his leaves up and letting them blow all over the neighborhood but my fertilizer is down now and I don't have to rush to clean my lawn.

Besides, the wind may shift and blow all the leaves back onto his lawn...

Time for an update on Election 2020:
Nope, still no winner in Election 2020 but as of this moment, the Trump campaign has filed four lawsuits. One in Georgia, one in Nevada, one in Pennsylvania and one in Michigan.

He's apparently trying to sue his way back into the White House.
This has been your update on Election 2020

London has gone into its second 'rona lockdown and someone over there has a sense of humor:
In my opinion, the only way to survive the levels of stress and bullshit associated with this pandemic is with a sense of humor.

I'm gonna start paying attention to the off-season moves being made by the Red Sox because rumor has it they will announce their new manager in the next few days. Once they have a manager, they will start making player moves.

I'm really hoping they find some pitching and some outfielders. I also hope they make an offer to Brock Holt and Mitch Moreland. Those two guys are both free agents, they should be dirt cheap and they really liked playing in Boston. They both brought a lot to the team, not the least of which is their ability to come off the bench, step up and hit the ball in clutch situations.

My lawn is clean

For the last few days, I have been saying, "I really need to get the leaves off my lawn". And for the last few days, I have been avoiding getting the leaves off my lawn because, well, I'm old and lazy and the wind has been blowing and it's been cold and the sun was in my eyes and there was a plague of locusts. Then my fertilizer guy called (actually, the fertilizer girl called) and informed me they would be at my house tomorrow to put down the last feed and some lime.

This news forced my hand and I had no choice but to get the leaves off my lawn.

Now my hands and my back hurts but my lawn is leaf-free and ready to accept it's final feeding of the season.

The aforementioned chunk of news is my way of telling you that this is a short post.

I am declaring myself the winner.

What the hell, why not. My declaration is just as valid as Trump's or Biden's.

Now that I am the self-declared president, I'm passing a law that makes it perfectly legal to beat anyone who drives a pickup truck with a large tattered American flag stuck into the tie-down hole in the bed. They are destroying a perfectly good flag by driving around with it in the rain, snow and blazing sun.

They are in violation of the U.S. Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8, The Flag - Respect for the Flag. Specifically, line (e) which states,
"The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way."
Under my administration, you will be allowed to hit those people...

In the face...

With a metal folding chair.

I'm really hoping this election ends today and we can all go about our day with the constant barrage of bullshit we've been living with for the last 6 months.

One more day of this shit

Tomorrow will be the last day of listening to the talking heads pontificate about who is going to win the election.

Starting on Wednesday, the talking heads will begin the process of subjecting us to a constant verbal assault about the legal battle going on between the Trump camp and the Biden camp. There will be armies of lawyers brought into the studio to tell us all about who is suing who, who has the best case and who is going to win.

I expect that to go on until December 14th when the Electoral College votes and actually elects a president.

By then I'll probably be dead from covid or stone drunk at my buddy Tommy's place.

Time for a change

The Bills beat the Patriots this afternoon, giving the Patriots a 2-5 record. The only thing I can say good about this season is the Jets are currently 0-8 so the Patriots are not in last place in the AFC East.

They really need to do something about Newton. Either get him mentally right or give the ball to Stidham and see what he can do. He really can't be worse than Newton and there is a possibility he might actually become better than Newton if he plays enough.

On the upside, the Steelers beat the Ravens to remain undefeated. At 7-0, they have the best record in the National Football League.

It's Sunday and the damned time change has screwed up my sleep.
