Not busy, just tired

So, for the last 6 days, the Professor and I have been on the island of Aruba in the tropics. During those six day, I told you I was busy and I didn't lie - I was busy.

I was busy sitting on my balcony, sipping some coffee and watching the day begin.

I was busy sitting on a lounge chair in the shade, watching the waves wash ashore.

I was busy floating in the warm tropical ocean.

I was busy watching all the cruise ships slowly sail past us as they made their way into port.

I was busy sitting in a submersible watching the residents of a coral reef.

I was busy exploring the island, seeing all the cool stuff it has.

I was also busy eating way too much excellent food and gaining weight that I didn't need. Also, there may have been numerous frozen drinks, gin & tonics and mojitos consumed...

I was busy trying to avoid sunburn on my bald head but despite my best effort, I failed. For the record, I failed because Aruba is located between the Tropic of Cancer and the Equator. In other words, it is where the sun is the strongest. Avoiding a sunburn while in the tropics is like avoiding getting wet while in the shower - it's unavoidable.

Now we are back home and life is slowly returning to normal.

I can't say enough good about the people and the island itself. The people treated us like royalty when we first met them and then they treated us like best friends once we knew them. As for the island itself, here is a screenshot of the weather on my phone from Christmas morning:

Anyone that thinks sunny with a light breeze and temps ranging from 82° to 84° isn't pleasant is a ding-a-ling. It's very pleasant.

We both agreed that we will be returning there in the near future and staying for a longer period of time.

Nope, still not enough.

But it's getting there...

Since we landed at 1:00 this morning, I didn't get to bed until well after 2:00am. After five hours of sleep, I woke up and I've been up since then.

I'm going to try and watch some of the Bruins game this evening but I don't have high hopes of making it through the second period.
