Sportings will be watched

Hello out there, we're on the air, it's hockey night tonight.

The Bruins will take on the Maple Leafs and I'm hoping for a repeat of their last meeting when the Bruins won 5-3. Specially since that game was in Toronto and tonight's game is on the Bruins home ice in Boston.

Puck drops at 7:00pm. The game is not on NESN, it is on TNT.

Today was one of those quiet days with very little going on.

So I went full-on nerd and fired up my IBM Z/OS mainframe emulator!

I spent 30 years working on the IBM mainframe platform and I kind of enjoy playing with the Hercules emulator. I don't have any specific processes that I'm doing with it, just writing some code, compiling it, running it and generally realizing that I have forgotten a lot of stuff about the mainframe.

Hell, it took me 20 minutes to remember how to create a file, or as us mainframe dweebs like to say, "allocate a dataset".

Basically, I'm just trying to keep my brain functional by assigning it tasks that require an effort on its part. My experience with some people over the years tells me that people who sit around and do nothing usually end up either dying young or lose their minds and end up strapped into a wheelchair, drooling into their lap.

I don't want to drool into my lap.
