A sweep!

Sometime around 8:15 or so, NBC finally switched over from golf to the Yankees/Red Sox game and I finally got to watch the game.

And a hell of a game it was.

The Red Sox took a 2-0 lead into the 9th inning but Chapman couldn't hold it and the Yankees tied it 2-2. The Red Sox failed to score in the bottom of the 9th so extra innings it was.

In the top of the 10th, the Yankees scored 2 runs, making the score 4-2 which meant the Red Sox needed to score at least 2 runs to keep the game alive.

Well, they scored 3 runs, won the game and swept the Yankees in their 4-game series.

This evening, the Red Sox will start a 3-game series against the Nationals. Suarez has the start and first pitch is at 7:10

My hope level is slowly creeping up into the upper-middle of the hope-o-meter scale.
