During the first three weeks of December, we will have a contractor on board helping us reconfigure some fairly important stuff. This guy is a true wizard and we are looking forward to working with him but it's going to involve long days.
Today involved lots of work trying to figure out how we are going to measure our risk and our capacity. In business, they call this "metrics" and at my company, it's all about the metrics.
The problem I see with this is that we are spending so much time trying to come up with metrics that we don't have enough time to get work done.
Which is just another way of saying that we are trying to measure what we aren't doing...
