This was do-or-die for Buehler because as he said last week, there isn't much room in the MLB for a 7.0 ERA pitcher.
Buehler made it through 5⅓ innings and he did "okay" at best. He faced 23 batters, gave up 8 hits, 3 runs and struck out 2.
The hitters, however, are doing stellar. It is currently the top of the seventh inning and the score is 9-3 in favor of the Red Sox.
Oh, and the Aaron Judges have fallen out of first place in the ALEast:
I have baseball to watch so here are some links:
- Thank goodness Booby Bobby is driving the vaccination bus here ins the good old U.S. of A.
- It looks like Aaron Rogers / Pittsburgh Steelers relationship might not be all that stable.
-
Oh
Canada.
(Key line: "...not prepared to continually fluff the cushions.") - Seems like a fun vacation spot...
- Key line in this story: "She was very, very lively and quite animated and speaking with her hands."
- Apparently the Welsh do church differently than we do.
- Oh Canada.
