They better not lose

The Red Sox are currently in 12th place in the American League. The Royals are in 13th place and the Twins are in last place.

This kind of makes the Red Sox the third crappiest team in the league.

And so it begins

My daughter has successfully completed another school year and she is once again home with us.

This makes me happy.

Soon, I will be even happier when my oldest returns home for 6 weeks to do a rotation at Baystate Medical Center.

If you're curious what thoughts are going through The Dogs head when we go for our walks, let me tell you:

"Hey! Look! A telephone pole! I better sniff it and pee on it!"
trot.... trot.... trot....

So the Red Sox managed to win a game last night. Thank God for Will Middlebrooks because right now, he's the only one on that team that is performing well.

So anyways, this win puts them in third to last place in the American League, tied with the Angels and the White Sox. If they win tonight, they might just jump into fourth to last place along with the Mariners.

So much for the second highest payroll in MLB...

I'm hoping for nine innings

After yesterdays 17 inning loss to the Orioles, I'm really hoping that tonight's game is only nine innings long.

If it goes longer than nine innings, I won't be watching it. I'll be asleep in my recliner.

Today was a long day and that means you get a short post.

They are in 6th (to last) place in the American League

The Red Sox are still in full suck mode and it's starting to get a little old.

Guess who has grass growing in his back yard!

Thanks to Dave from Lawn Tech who went out of his way to help me with this mess and now I have actual grass growing where once there was nothing but dirt. Pretty soon, The Dog and I will be rolling around in a yard filled with lush green grass.

Well, maybe not The Dog. I haven't figured out if I'm going to let him and his pee anywhere near my grass.

Those of you that have been reading this little treatise since it's inception know that I lack any ability to grow plants of any kind. Specially those plants of the grass kind. Well, Dave provided me with the top soil, the seed, the fertilizer and the instructions (Water. Lots of water.) on what I needed to do and lo & behold, I have grass.

Thanks Dave.

While I'm watching the Red Sox get stomped by the Orioles, I surfed the interwebs and found these interesting links:
