Nice win.

The Bruins beatup the Blues last night, winning 5-2 in regulation.

Because of how close the teams are in the Atlantic division standings, my prediction from yesterday came true and the Bruins are once again in 2nd place.

In other Bruins news, McAvoy appears to be back at limited practice after having his face put back together.

They still aren't providing any timeline for his return which, when you think of it, is smart. The guy took a slap shot to his face. Who the hell knows how long it's gonna take to heal.

The Red Sox announced that they have traded Jhostynxon Garcia (The Password) to the Pirates for a pitcher name Johan Oviedo.

I don't know much about Oviedo but I can tell you Garcia is an outfielder and the Red Sox already have too many outfielders. That means this trade is good for him because now he might actually make it into the big leagues instead of banging away in the minors.

As for Oviedo, he missed all of 2024 after getting Tommy Johns surgery. He also developed kind of elbow problem that kept him on the DL for quite a bit last season. Hopefully he's got that behind him and the Red Sox did not just trade away a decent prospect for a guy who is going to sit on the bench and complain.

They took a big hit yesterday

The Bruins dropped down to 5th place yesterday and they didn't even play hockey.

Looks like they are not even in the wild card anymore.

This, of course, will all change tomorrow. Their current spot in the standings is based on a three-way tie for third place with the Bruins being at the bottom of the third place slot.

Hopefully they beat the Blues tonight.

Nope, still not high enough.

Maybe next week it'll be over a billion.

The things I do for these damned cats.

Graceless loves being on the porch. All summer long, she lives out there until I tell her it's time to come in.

During the winter, the door is not open so she cannot come and go as she pleases. This means she stands at the door and squeaks until I let her out. This is not a problem.

The problem is that I forget she is out there and I'm concerned that I will go to bed without letting her in.

Hence this Post IT© note I stick to the porch door whenever I let her out.

Tough loss

The Red Wings took an early lead and never gave it up. They beat the Bruins 5-4 in regulation, pushing the Bruins back down to fourth place in the standings.

Their next game is tomorrow against the Blues. Puck drops at 7:00.

I get the best spam...

I can assure you that I am not a "Ms". I can also assure you that there has been no "previous communication".

Scumbags. They are all scumbags. Actually, some of them may be douchebags and others may be dirtbags but this one in particular is a scumbag.

I didn't understand this. I didn't understand it at all.

To my knowledge, no one has been asking him anything at all about his construction project because there are a lot other things going on that they ask him about. Things like his killing of people in boats, his upcoming invasion of Venezuela, his trips to Epstein's Pedo-Island, the cryptocoin scam his family is running, his fifth or sixth "peace" plan for Ukraine, etc...

Someone told me he posts things like that in the hopes we will all start talking how great he is instead of how much of a mess he is making.

Then I found this story...

So I guess the White House will just be a wing of some gigantic gaudy gold-leaf covered ballroom that no one will use. It will also end up costing us, the taxpayers, billions of dollars in construction, maintenance and upkeep.

And yes, I said it will cost taxpayers billions because if you think The Very Stable Genius has secured full funding from private sources, you are both gullible and misguided. Oh, and also as naive as a six year old.

They were correct

The weather dweebs said we would get between 1 & 11 inches of snow and they were correct. We got about 2 inches.

I did not do my driveway because it is currently raining. That rain is going to freeze tonight and I would rather it freeze on the snow instead of becoming a sheet of ice on my driveway.

If it does become a sheet of ice, I happen to have a rather large bucket of road salt that the town gave me last year.

The Patriots beat up on the Giants last night, beating them 33-15. But that's not what I want to tell you.

What I want to tell you is that I managed to stay awake to watch the entire game!

For the record, the game ended shortly after 11:00 last night and I still woke up at 5:30 this morning so I can assure you that I am a tired guy. Even though the Bruins are paying tonight, I will probably not see all 3 periods.

Speaking of the Bruins, they will once again be playing the Red Wings.

Puck drops at 7:00.

I have no idea

I tried to figure out who all the alleged "experts" think will win tonights game between the Giants and the Patriots but all I got was confused.

This is from CBS sports:

This one came from some place called "Action Netowrk":

I think it means the Patriots are either going to lose by 7½ points or maybe they will lose by 110 points or possibly they might win by 46%frac12; points or maybe they just might lose by 368 points but only if Stevenson scores 220 touchdowns and Dart throws 330 touchdown passes.

I really hate sports betting and the special top-secret codes they use to describe something as simple as, "The Patriots are going to win. Or lose. Who knows!"

Speaking of alleged "experts", the weather dweebs are predicting anywhere from 1 to 11 inches of snow.

In other words, they have no idea how much snow we're gonna get.

Being as how I'm a risk averse guy, I moved The Beast next to my garage door so I can clear the driveway no matter how much snow we get.
