And this is why they are losing

Several days ago, Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton was interviewed by the New York Times.

Moulton, a Massachusetts democrat and the Times, a liberal-leaning newspaper, are perfect for each other so you would think the interview would have been all sunshine, roses, butterflies and unicorns.

And for the most part, it was.

Yes sir, it was all good right up until Moulton said, "I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that."

This caused all the other democrats to scream, "Those are hateful comments!" and to call for Moulton's resignation. The head of the Massachusetts Democratic Party went so far as to say that Moulton's comments "do not represent the broad view of our party".

Oh, and Moulton also said something along the lines of 'The republicans may ban books but the democrats ban debate'. I'm not a fan of book burning for any reason but I'm even less of a fan of oppression of speech.

You know what I think? I think Seth Moulton is a good dad. I think that if he ever runs for an office that appears on one of my election day ballots, I'm voting for him.

I think that anyone who thinks that it's okay for a 17 year old male/formerly male to play field hockey/soccer/basketball against a 17 year old female needs to have their head examined. Or maybe they need to go one round in a ring with Mike Tyson so they learn what a larger, stronger person can do to a smaller, weaker person.

I also think that the Democrats are eating their own in an attempt to ignore the fact they are losing in all political arenas. If they keep going the way they are going, that political party will one day hold the same political influence as the so-called "Green Party".

On another note, I will never forget a meeting I was in back in the late 1990s. When asked about the policy changes being made by HR regarding how we were suppossed to treat each other, she said, "They're taking away my god-given right to be a bigot"

The more things you call "hate speech", the more people you make hate you...

Yes, there is hockey this evening.

Yes, I will be watching hockey this evening.

Hopefully I will be watching the Bruins beat the Blues this evening.

Since the game starts at 8:00, what I'm pretty sure is not going to happen is that I will stay awake long enough to watch all three periods of play this evening.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Joan Jett, Vanna White, Michelle Pfeiffer, Alec Baldwin, Gary Oldman, Ice-T and I are all the same age.

Man, I look like shit compared to those people.

Then again, Andy Gibb, Michael Jackson and Billy Mays were all born around the same time as me and they're dead so I guess I got that going for me.

Just for the hell of it I checked the NFL standings and I'm pleased to announce that while the Patriots are still in last place in the AFC East, they are no longer in last place in the league.

That honor goes to the New York Giants.
