They beat the Royals 8-5 with Bello facing 25 batters over 6 innings, giving up 1 run, walking 1 and striking out 5. Matz came in for the 7th and only faced 4 batters to end that inning.
The score should have been 8-1 but the bullpen imploded when Alcala came in and faced only 4 batters in the 8th. He served up 3 runs, two of which were home runs. Wilson didn't fare much better, facing 3 batters and giving up 1 more run. Finally Whitlock came in and finished off the inning. Chapman closed out the 9th to end the game.
