Crochet faced 26 batters over 7 innings, giving up 2 runs, walking 1 and striking out 8 batters. The bullpen did not implode and the relievers cleaned up the 8th and 9th innings with no drama whatsoever.
There is some fairly big news out of Boston this afternoon. I personally think this is a good move by both parties. The Red Sox get a good long-term deal with a great player and Anthony gets paid big money to do what he loves to do.
As for tonight, the new guy, May, has the start. I'm hoping he's good because the Red Sox already have one starter that can't be trusted to deliver, they don't need a second one.
First pitch is at 7:10.
Oh, and the Judges lost again to the Rangers last night. They are now in the third wild card slot, 3½ games behind the Red Sox and only half a game ahead of the Rangers. If they lose again tonight, they will drop out of the wild card.
Every New York fan who has access to the internet is calling for Boone's firing.
In other Red Sox news, a Blackhawk helicopter kept flying over my house this afternoon so I looked it up on a flight tracker I use.
When he got elected, he said he would end it in 24 hours. Now, 8 months later, he says, "great progress" is being made.
Putin owns The Very Stable Genius. He always has. Ever since Trumps first term when Putin told him the FBI was lying about Russia interfering in our election and Trump said, "Oh you are so right Vlad. They always lie to me."
This will be over when Putin says it's over and I have a feeling that won't be until he has completely overrun all the nations on his western border.
