Reasons don't matter

There are a couple of reasons why the federal government does not run the city of Washington D.C.

1. The federal government already has a job and it does not include running a city.
2. Back in 1973, Congress gave the residents of DC the right to elect their own leaders.

All of that is well and good but I'll be damned if I can find fault with The Very Stable Genius deciding that something needs to be done about the crime rate in that city.

The part of Washington DC known as "The Federal Triangle" is a beautiful place and it's filled with some of the most impressive memorials and buildings.

But the rest of the city is not what I would call a nice place.

What I do have a problem with is the idea of a "federalized police force". Sorta like the ones you see in a lot of those dictatorial countries like North Korea, China, etc...

Time for some baseball.

Hopefully Crochet is on his game tonight because they need to win.

The Blue Jays are off but the Judges are playing the Twins. Right now the Judges are up 3-1 in the 6th inning so the Red Sox need to win just to stay 2½ games ahead of the Judges.

Also, if the Red Sox win tonight, they'll pick up half a game on the Blue Jays.
