Hangin' with the boys

Yesterday I received a text message from a guy I hadn't heard from for several months, maybe a year, and he said, "Hey. A bunch of us are going to stop for a holiday beverage. Join us."

So I did.

And that is all I have to say about why there was no posting yesterday.

Despite winning their 3 game winning streak, the Bruins have dropped back into third place.

Tonight they take on the Jets. Puck drops at 8:00 and according to the talking heads at NESN, McAvoy is on the ice and may be in the lineup tonight.

One of the reasons that the U.S. has traditionally befriended and supported Latin American countries is because whenever we have a problem with one of them, Russia comes rolliong on in and tries to make nice with them.

Welcome to the real world Trump. Get ready for a communist South America...

Having said that, let me just add that when the U.S. Navy seized that oil tanker the other day, they didn't do it because Trump and Hegseth suddenly came up with the bright idea. They did it because back in 2022, the Biden administration tagged the ship for smuggling oil to terrorist organizations in the middle-east.

I get why Trump is raging at Maduro, and Venezuela in general. It is because Maduro is the followup dictator to Hugo Chavez, an asshole of the highest level. It seems that the Venezuelans like having a dictator in charge.

This could be an interesting weekend for football.

The Broncos and Patriots are tied in games won (11-2) but the Broncos are in first place because of their record within the division. Now the alleged "experts" are predicing that both teams will lose this weekend and that means the Broncos and Patriots will be tied in division wins as well.

I'm not entirely sure what the tie-breaker is for two teams that are tied like that.

Personally, I'm going with the Patriots will win this weekend and the Broncos will lose. That means the Patriots will be in first place and all will be well with the world.
