Quite the beat down

The Red Sox played game one of their double-header this afternoon, beating the Orioles 19-5. It would have been 19-2 but instead of putting in a closer, Cora opted to put a position player on the mound and the Orioles scored 3 runs before the third out.

It started out poorly for Bello. He was great for the first inning and fell apart from there. Cora pulled him out of the game after four innings.

The bullpen did their job and the batters went above and beyond doing their job. They scored 5 runs in the fifth and then scored 13 runs in the eighth.

At some point in the ninth inning, I sent my son the followaing text:

Giolito has the start for game two. First pitch is at 7:10 as long as there isn't a rain delay or postponement...

I thought I'd check in to see how our "Very Stable Genius" is doing with the economy:

Hey look! It's down another half a percent since we checked two days ago! Good job there Mr. Genius...

So far this guy has cost a lot of us a lot of money and I don't see him doing anything to change that. He's also managed to increase the interest the United States has to pay on its debts meaning he's cost us more money than most of us understand.
