The Bruins are still playing pre-season games so their loss to the Flyers last night is meaningless. Those games are being played so the front office can figure out who they keep and who they cut.
They take on the Capitals tonights. Puck drops at 7:00.
As for the Red Sox, the lost 1-0 to the Guardians last night but they turned things around this afternoon when they beat the Cubs 4-3.
They are back at it again today when the play game 2 of their 3-game series against the cubs. First pitch is at 5:35 and Bello has the start.
Oh, and the reason they are playing a doubleheader today is because they moved this coming Sunday's game to today due to the incoming storm. These are the last three games of the regular season so they need to get them all in before the playoffs start.
Speaking of playoffs, the wildcard series will all be played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week and they will all be carried on NBC/Peacock. That means there will be four baseball games each day.
I have a feeling that some of those games will be shown on Peacock which means I won't be watching them. Hopefully the Red Sox / Yankees games will be on NBC...
There is a nor'easter heading our way.
The last time we had a storm out of the northeast in the fall was back in 2011 and we were without power for 11 days.
Sure hope that doesn't happen again but if it does, I have plenty of gasoline for the generator.
I am not spending hours or days without electricity...
Speaking of the weather, get ready for a heat wave because I took my air conditioners out, cleaned them up and packed them away until next year.
