In big sportings news, some guy spent $6,100,000,000.00 to buy the Boston Basketball team known as "The Celtics"
Now I'm no basketball fanatic and I don't really know much, if anything at all, about basketball but $6.1 billion seems like an awful lot of money for a basketball team.
Turns out I'm right because that $6.1 billion is the most money ever spent on an North American sports franchise which leads me to believe that both Fenway Sports Group and Yankee Global Enterprises are probably taking a good long look at what they could get for their respective baseball teams...
Here are some links:
- I wonder if Trump will pardon him...
- Nintendo is now the official sponsor of the Seattle Mariners. This means that every time a pitcher takes the mound, he should have to yell, "It'sa me, Mario. Whoo-Hoo! Let'sa go!"
- Key sub-headline in this story: "The benchmarks are not looking good, folks."
- I want to know why the federal government is promoting a private company.
- They taste like chicken...
- Only in Florida.
