They lost

Both the Bruins and the Red Sox prospects lost yesterday but the prospects game was fun to watch.

The Bruins flailed and stuttered all over the ice, losing to the Senators 6-3. As I said a few weeks ago, I'm pretty sure they are done and stand very little chance of making the playoffs.

As a matter of fact, the bookies out in Vegas are saying they have only a 5% chance of making the playoffs and if they actually make it into the playoffs, they only stand a 1.2% chance of making it to the second round.

Next game for them is game 68, leaving them with only 14 days left in their season.

They will take on the Lightning tomorrow evening at 7:00.

The Red Sox prospects lost to the Rays prospects 7-5 but man, it was fun to watch. Both teams were hitting the ball a ton and the speed on the basepaths was on full display.

There were five stolen bases, four home runs and only one error.

I suspect if the Red Sox had a high-end arm in the rotation, they would have beaten the Rays but the Red Sox pitching gave up twleve hits.

You can't win games if the pitcher is throwing softballs over the plate.

At 4:05 this afternoon, the Red Sox and the Marlins played baseball.

The Red Sox fielded a team made up almost entirely of minor leaguers and they still managed to beat the Marlins 9-4.

Their next game is tomorrow against the Braves. First pitch is at 1:05 and it looks like the Braves starter will be the Red Sox old friend, Chris Sale.

Not only that, it looks like the game will be carried by NESN.
