That was enlightening.

After trading away four of their better players, what was left of the Bruins played hockey like a professional hockey team and they shutout the Lightning 4-0.

Maybe management/ownership does know what they are doing...

They didn't move up in the standings but they are now tied at 66 points with two other teams so they are still kinda in the mix.

Their next game is this Tuesday against the division leading Panthers.


The Red Sox beat the Braves 7-3 this afternoon.

Fitts got the start and man, that is one big boy. I would not want to stand in the batter box while he threw a baseball at me.

The batters hit the ball well including back-to-back doubles in the first inning and back-to-back home runs in the fifth inning.

Tomorrow they are on a well-deserved day off and on Tuesday they face the Phillies.


Gary Larson created one of the greatest single-panel comics ever. It was called The Far Side and it appeared in numerous publications.

He drew four or five cartoons that stand out in my mind and this is one of them:

The man had talent and a fantastic sense of humor.
