The Red Sox are currently tied with the Guardians for the third wild card slot.
The Guardians are currently playing the Giants and they have a 1-0 lead. If they win, the Red Sox will drop half a game out of the wild card.
In other Red Sox news, they sent Campbell down to Worcester today.
The kid hasn't been hitting and his fielding has been a not so great for the last few weeks. I think the big leagues may have pressured him a bit and by sending him down, they are giving him a chance to get his hitting and fielding back in order.
Abreu is coming off the IL and is slated to rejon the team in San Francisco tomorrow.
Bregman is working hard and there are hopes that he will rejoin the team soon.
There are still rumors floating around that Yoshida may return sooner than expected to take over the DH slot but those are mostly wild-ass guesses foisted upon us by Boston talking heads.
Right now, I am watching the KPMG Championship. At 6:30, I will put on the national news. As soon as I get bored with it, I will either switch back to the KPMG or I will put on the Worcester Red Sox game.
Just because the Red Sox are off today doesn't mean I don't have sportages to watch...
