The Boston sports guys are a mess

Depending on which sports guy you read (or watch), the Bosston media seems to be all over the planet on the effects of the Devers trade.

For instance, here are the headlines fro various sports sites:
  • WEEI - "Why the Rafael Devers trade should make Red Sox fans mad"
  • NESN - "What Red Sox Can Build Without Rafael Devers"
  • MassLive - "Trading Rafael Devers another sign Red Sox don’t have a plan"
  • 98.5SportsHub - "It won’t be long until the Red Sox see the recently-traded Rafael Devers again"
  • Boston Globe - "The Rafael Devers trade gives the Red Sox major flexibility, like it or not"
  • Boston Herald - "Devers trade only creates new messes for chaotic Red Sox"
As you can see, there is nothing close to agreement or even an explanation of why the Red Sox traded Devers

I'm sure every reporter within 100 miles of Fenway Park asked the question, "Why?" of any Fenway Sports Group executive they could get their hands on but no one is talking.

Tonight should be interesting. I hear Kennedy and Breslow are slated to address the media via Zoom at 8 p.m tonight and every talking head on the planet will interpret what they say in their own special way.

As for tonights game, Giolito has the start.

Since it's a 9:30 start, there are no lineups posted at the time I am writing this. Also, since it's a 9:30 game, I won't be awake to watch more than an inning or two of the game.

Despite the recent flare up between Israel and Iran, the DJIA is up today:

Unfortunately, it is still down 3½% since the Very Stable Genius took office:
