The closest human settlement where it will be noon on the Tropic of Cancer when it is 10:42 pm here is the island of Miyakojima in the Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. Also, it will be tomorrow there when the solstice happens so that's kinda weird.
Anyways, I sure hope they have air conditioning there.
The Guardians lost last night which means that as of this morning, the Red Sox had sole possession of the third wild card slot.
Tonights game against the Giants starts at 10:15 so I won't be watching any of it.
Dobbins has the start and I will be happy if I find out tomorrow morning that he held the Giants to zero runs over seven innings.
They need to win this series if they want to hold on to that wild card.
The lawn is mowed and half of the bushes have been trimmed. Tomorrow morning, we will finish up the last four bushes.
In case you haven't heard, we are expecting temps in the upper 90s on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
That, my friends, is what is known as a heat wave and if you know me at all, you know I hate heat waves.
