We have a transfer of power.

I decided to move two circuits over - the refrigerator and the furnace are now powered off the subpanel. That way, if the power goes out, I'll be able to....

....do what I've always had to do.

Until my power inlet arrives, I'll have to wire one extension cord into my furnace and drag another extension cord over to my refrigerator.

So I guess moving circuits from the main to the sub really doesn't do me much good for now. It just gets things ready to go when the inlet finally arrives and I install it.

And when that happens, well let me tell you, I will be a happy guy.
