I managed to use my roof rake to get the snow off the ice dams. Then the wind kicked up.

That was when I decide dragging an extension ladder through the snow and climbing 25 feet up was a bad idea.

So no calcium chloride on the dams.

Hopefully I won't find water spots on my ceilings in the next few days.
