Some clarification

I had a seven paragraph posting about the H-1B visa program but since I actually want to find a job at some point in the future, I erased it.

What I do have is some information about the H-1B visa program:

If you haven't heard of the H1B visa, it's a visa that was designed to give companies the ability to temporarily bring skilled labor into the country if they were unable to find American workers with the needed skills.

In other words, if a company makes hip joints and they could not find anyone in this country with the skills needed to make the perfect hip joint, they could hire a hip joint maker from Canada and bring him or her into the United States with an H1B visa.

Unfortunately for the American worker, the H-1B visa has become a way for companies to bring cheap foreign workers into the country to replace American workers. They may be claiming that the foreign worker is "temporary" but the American worker has been permanently terminated.

They are using a government program to screw Americans workers and I think that sucks.
