The Red Sox fans got their money's worth today.

It was a twelve inning game for the Red Sox in their home opener and fortunately they were able to get it done in under 4 hours.

Price pitched well today and that indicates that maybe, just maybe, he's back on his game.

It was a pitchers duel for the first 8 innings with the score 0-0 until Carson Smith gave up a two run homer in the eighth. Then the Red Sox managed to tie it up in ninth and they went into extra innings.

I drove home listening to the ninth inning, took care of The Dog, got the mail, took care of The Dog, got changed, took care of The Dog. You see, he needs to pee when we get home, then he needs to eats and right after that, he needs to poop. It's his ritual.

So after all that, I turned on NESN and picked up the action in the eleventh inning.

Not much happened in the eleventh but the twelfth was exciting as hell when Bradley hit a double, they walked Betts who promptly stole second and then Benintendi managed to work a walk. This loaded the bases with one out.

This brought Ramirez to the plate and he actually came through with a long drive over the outfielders head to drive in Bradley for the win.

I'm liking this team.

A lot.
