Thankfully tonight is destined to be slightly cooler and a little less humid than last night. At least that's what the extremely serious yet vaguely inaccurate weather people at The Weather Channel are saying.
All I know is we finally turned off our AC and I swear I heard my electric meter breath a sigh of relief...

Despite some recent injuries and a lot of shuffling of players between Pawtucket and Boston, the Red Sox continue to hold their own and maintain their first place position in the American League. This Sunday is the final game before the All Star break and any team heading into the break with a record above .550 is doing pretty damned well.
The Red Sox are currently at .606.
That is a pretty damned good record. As a matter of fact, it's pretty much the same record they had back in July 11, 2007.
In case you forgot, they won the World Series in 2007.
