Looks like the humidity is on it's way back

Today may very well be the last comfortable day for a while. According to all the weather people on the three perky yet local stations and the inaccurate yet all-encompassing Weather Channel, we can expect the heat and humidity to start making it's way back in our area tomorrow.

Oh joy.

In Boston, there is a statue of Bobby Orr, athlete.

In Philadelphia, there is a statue of Rocky Balboa, movie character.

In California, there is a statue of John Wayne, actor.

To my knowledge, there is no statue to Dr. Maurice Hillman, scientist.

There should be statues and monuments all over the world for Maurice Hillman. There should be history courses taught about him and our children should be encouraged to be like him. We should do these things because he probably saved your life and the lives of all your friends and family.

As a species, we tend to worship people who don't do much and we ignore the real heroes.

We should change that.
