The Red Sox are no longer in first place

The Rays have taken over first place but it's an interesting first place.

It's an interesting first place because both teams have won 61 games but since the Rays have played one less game than the Red Sox, the Red Sox have one more loss than the Rays.

Of course, the real reason they are no longer in first place is because they aren't touching home plate enough. As a matter of fact, they didn't touch it at all last night when they lost to the Orioles 6-0.

Still, I can't complain too much. Last year at this time they were in last place in the American League East, 11 and 1/2 games behind the Yankees.
