Looks like they only have 18 games left to play

The Red Sox lost last night and that eliminated any chance of them winning the ALEast. It also moved their elimination number for the wild card to eight. That means any combination of eight losses by the Red Sox or eight wins by the Athletics and they are done.

It's a pretty good bet that the Red Sox will finish their season on September 29th and go on vacation. I, on the other hand, will be forced to pick a team to root for.

Guess we'll have to wait and see who my choices are.

Maybe I'll root for the Yankees.

The Red Sox are playing the Blue Jays at 7:00 and there really is nothing else on so, yes, I will be watching the game.
