Things are changing in New England.

The Patriots have signed Antonio "I want it my way or no way!" Brown to a one year contract. This is right after Brown threw a major hissy fit and threatened to beat up his boss out in Oakland.

Look, I could care less about Brown as a human being. If he wants to act like an asshole, so be it but I do care about him as a player. If he plays half as well as the talking heads predict, the Patriots will win their seventh Superb Owl next year. If he acts like an ass, Belichick will unceremoniously dump him like day old bread and Brown will then be in a very bad position.

Next year he is a free agent and if he blows things this year, no one will want to sign him.

The Red Sox have fired Dave "The farm system is nothing more than chattel!" Dombrowski after he failed to replenish the bullpen. At the end ofletting two significant reliever walk away last year.

Dombrowski knows how to find veteran players but he gets them by trading away the youngsters. He pretty much destroyed Detroit when he was with them and he's depleted the Red Sox farm system to the point where they have only two or three good players. What was once rated as the number one farm in the league is now rated 22 out of 32.

I'm sure Trade-Em-Away Dave will find a new spot somewhere and I have faith that the Red Sox will find a new GM who maybe, just maybe, will get them back into winning form but right now, it's all kind of up in the air.

So now I'm going to watch some baseball.
