Wins for everybody

The Red Sox kicked the crap out of the Cubs, the Bruins beat the Maple Leafs and there was some kind of thing involving a group called "The Celtics", a group called "The Heat" and a basketball.

When I put up yesterdays post, I said, "Todays game started at 4:00 and right now the Red Sox are up 3-0 in the bottom of the 5th inning."

Shortly after I clicked the "publish" button, the Red Sox hitters went nuts and by the time the game ended, the score was 17-0.

It got so bad that in the ninth inning, the Red Sox put a position player in to pitch. For probably the first time in his career, Pablo Reyes took the mound as the Red Sox closer, faced five batters, gave up one hit and one walk. He has a ERA of .000 and secured himself a spot in Red Sox lore right next the Brock Holt.

Today's game is being carried by ESPN who got smart last season and instead of demanding that games start at 8:00, they now have the games start at 7:10. After the talking heads stop blathering about things no one cares about, the first pitch will probably get thrown around 7:20 or 7:30.

I just hope the Red Sox batters didn't use up all there hits yesterday. I hope they saved some for today because after that embarrassment, you can bet the Cubs are going to show up with a "I'm gonna kick your ass!" attitude.

As for the Bruins and Maple Leafs, the game was as I predicted - it was a hell of a game.

Both teams played hard and by "hard", I mean there are probbaly a lot of hockey players on both teams that are very sore this morning.

The Maple Leafs delivered 62 significant hits on Bruins players while the Bruins slammed into Maple Leaf players only 35 times but I can assure you that those 35 hits where dealt with vigor.

In the end, the Bruins prevailed beat the Maple Leafs 3-1. This gives them three wins in the best-of-seven series, one win away from winning the series and moving on to round two. Assuming that things continue they way they are going, the Bruins will probably face the Panthers in that round.

Game five in the will be this Tuesday in Boston. Puck drops at 7:00pm.

I have no idea what the story is with the Celtics because I don't give a shit about basketball. I just know that according to the morning news, they won their game.

I believe, but I am not certain, this was some kind of playoff game. If I cared, I would probably utilize the interwebs to look it up but I can't emphasize enough how much I don't care.

My email address ended up on some maga-cult mailing list and I'm getting swarms of emails from lunatics telling me that it's the end of the world as we know it.

Now, it's nice that the former president of the United States thinks I'm his personal "friend" but I draw the line at mentally-unstable ex-lawyers with hair dye running down their cheeks...
I don't know who this "deep state" is that he is talking about but I hope they get him off the street and into some mental facility that can provide him the help he needs.

Next up on the hit parade is this call to action from some unidentified cult:
The key line in that load of crap is: "NUMBER OF AMERICANS IDENTIFYING AS "REPUBLICAN" HITS LOWEST POINT IN A DECADE"

Has it occurred to you that maybe the reason for the decline in the number of republicans is because the republican party no longer really exists. The party of Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, etc... has morphed into the Cult of Trump. It no longer holds the same values that most Americans think are fair and it has proven time & time again that it has the ethics of a Batman villian.

And don't get me started on the democrats. That party has moved beyond socialism and stepped firmly into the world of communism. They think the government knows what is best for me even though I'm a grown-ass adult capable of acting on my behalf and accepting responsibility for my own actions

Time to eat some dinner and then watch some baseball
