As things stand this afternoon, they are three and a half games ahead of the Yankees but half a game behind the Indians. This means if the season ended today, they would not have home field advantage and they play the Indians in Cleveland the ALDS.
Since tonights Indians - Yankees game has been postponed due to rain, the Red Sox can pick up half a game on both teams if they beat the Blue Jays tonight.

As if they didn't have enough problems in Houston, what with the rain, the storm surge and the wind, now they get to deal with these little bastards.
And once this is all over with, they are going to have to clean up the thousands of cars that are now junk not to mention all the houses that are uninhabitable.
I have a feeling this is going to make Katrina look like a thunderstorm.
