Houck pitched pretty well, going five innings and giving up three earned runs. Since he made it through five innings and left with a lead, he gets the win.
Tomorrow the Pirates are in town to start another three-game series. First pitch is at 7:10.
In other baseball news, the Worcester Red Sox beat the Syracuse Mets 8-1 this afternoon, winning their three-game opening series.
The Bruins are in St Louis this afternoon to take on the Blues.
So far it's a pretty good game, with the Bruins up 1-0 at the end of the first period.
I'm going to watch the rest of this hockey game and then remain on my couch to watch some DVRs.
