A little air conditioning is a good thing.

I managed to make it through the day yesterday without any air conditioning but by 9:00 this morning, I'd had enough. The doors were starting to stick, the rugs were damp and The Dog was wet.

There is nothing worse than a wet dog...

This lasted until 3:30 or so when the temp dropped and the humidity lowered itself to a tolerable level. That was when we turned the AC off and went au' naturel.

The Red Sox managed to get shut out by the Tigers this afternoon. Lackey pitched a great game and it went 0-0 into the seventh inning when the Tigers managed to score 2 runs. they scored a third run in the eighth and that was how the game ended.

They are still five games ahead of the Rays but that will change tonight when the Rays play the Angels. If the Rays lose, the Red Sox will be five and a half games in the lead. If the Rays win, the Red Sox will be four and a half games in the lead.

Either way, they are still in the lead.
