They almost did it.

The US Women's Hockey team was up 2-1 when Canada pulled it's goalie. That was when the US sent the puck rattling down the ice towards Canada's open net and...

...it hit the left post of the net and bounced to the left of the goal.

That was when Canada scored and took the game into overtime.

Had the puck gone into the net, the game probably would have ended in favor of the US with a 3-2 win but it wasn't to be.

Nine minutes into the 20 minute sudden-death overtime, Canada scored and took home the gold medal in women's hockey.

In other news, the Venezuelan's, the Ukrainian's, the Syrian's, the Afghani's the Egyptians and the Iraqi's are all killing each other.

We should stay the hell out of it.
