Six game lead

It took them 13 innings but the red Sox managed to beat the Phillies and take a six game lead in the ALEast last night. They have one more against the Phillies tonight before they take a day off to travel to New York.

In the meantime, the Yankees are starting a two game series against the Orioles so I expect them to win both games and start to pick away at the Red Sox lead.

The worst case scenario is that the Red Sox lose tonight and the Yankees win both games against the Orioles. That will mean the Red Sox and the Yankees will meet each other in a four game series. If the Yankees win all four games, the Red Sox will still be in first place in the ALEast but only by half a game.

The best case scenario is that the Yankees lose one game to the Orioles and then lose three of four to the Red Sox. That would be great because then the Red Sox will be eight games ahead in the ALEast and I will be a very happy guy.

According to the local weather dweebs, today is the last day of comfort for us.

It's going to get humid tonight and tomorrow we will get to enjoy heat and humidity.

I hate heat and humidity.
