The DJIA did not shit the bed today

The day started poorly for the Dow but right around 1:00 this afternoon it suddenly decided to scream up and end the day up about 200 points.

That does not make up for the last two days but it's better than down another 200 points.

I still can't retire.


Every time we have an election, Florida screws it up.

It's been 16+ years since Bush v. Gore and you would think that they would have fixed things by now.

I believe that the United States government should take away Florida's right to vote until they can get their collective shit together and learn how to run an election that actually works.

The Red Sox extended Alex Cora's contract the other day.

He is a pretty good manager and it looks like ownership understands that they won the World Series because of not only the skills of the players but how he worked with those players.

Smart move on the Red Sox part. Now if they can figure out what to do about their free agents, life could be good.
