The Red Sox managed to beat the Blue Jays again today, giving them a 6-4 record. They have two more games against the Jays and hopefully they'll win both of them.
And man, what can I say about Hanley Ramirez.
Last season, when they had him playing left field, I wanted him gone. It was a terrible mistake putting him in left field and it showed. He couldn't catch the ball and his throws in from the outfield to the infield always missed the mark.
This season, they have him back in the infield at first base and he is playing some pretty damned good baseball. He is making stretch catches that are resulting in outs and he seems a lot more relaxed about the game. So much so that his hitting has improved. A lot.
Thank goodness they didn't listen to me when I said get rid of him.
