Looks like a repeat.

It's beginning to look like the 2016 Red Sox are going down the same path as the 2015 Red Sox.

They are more than 1/3 through the season and they are still trying to figure out what to do with Clay Buchholz.

Add to that, they seem to have lost all faith in Joe Kelly and are probably leaving him down in Pawtucket with Sandoval, Craig and Castillo.

Eduardo Rodriguez just isn't the same guy he was last season.

As far as David Price is concerned, he's not giving them the performance they expected.

On the other hand, Steven Wright is the best thing that's happened to them this year and Rick Porcello seems to be pitching at the level they had hoped for when they extended him last year.

In the bullpen, Heath Hembree, Robbie Ross and Tommy Lane are all holding up their end and trying to keep things in check when the starters fall apart.

And what can be said about Craig Kimbrel other than the man is an amazing closer.

As for the hitting, what can you say. That is a skill that comes and goes more than most things in baseball. Let's face it, trying to hit a 3 inch sphere that is traveling in an unpredictable arc at speeds in excess of 90mph with a 2 1/2 inch cylinder isn't easy.

Each batter has his ups & downs and it seems some of the Red Sox batters have managed to hit a bad streak at the same time.

I'm hoping they manage to turn it around tonight when they start a three-game series against the Rays and they keep 2015 in the past where it belongs.
