I'd like to see them come back from the break and go on a nice winning streak.
They start the second half of the season with three games in New York against the Yankees who are, to say the least, struggling to stay out of the basement.
After the Yankees, they return home to play two games against the Giants from the National League. Traditionally, the American League team will win when playing a National League team in their home park.
Once that's over, they have four games against the Twins. Now I don't want to say anything bad about the Twins but based on this seasons performance, I once coached a group of 10-11 year old kids who could beat the Twins.
Then it's three against the Tigers who are having a pretty damned good season and are going to be tough but the Red Sox should be able to take at least 2 of the 3 games.
I'm hoping that they kick ass and go on a 10 or 12 game winning streak. Unfortunately, the Orioles have a fairly easy 12 game stretch ahead of them as well so jumping into the lead will be tough.
But none of that is important.
What is important is that now I need to find something to watch on TV in the evenings.
