Two in a row would be nice.

They won the series against the Twins when they won last nights game. Tonight they are in Cleveland to play the Indians, or whatever they're called now-a-days.

Sale pitched a hell of a game last night and had his third "immaculate inning" since joining the Red Sox. For those of you that don't know what an immaculate inning is, that is where the pitcher strikes out the side on only nine pitches. Three pitches for each batter that result in three strikes for each batter. Those strikes can be the result of the batter looking, the batter swinging and missing or the batter fouling a ball off.

Trust me when I say, immaculate innings are rare. Just to be clear, they are rarer than no-hitters. There have only been 104 immaculate innings in MLB history. Sale is only one of seven pitchers in all of MLB history to have multiple immaculate innings and he is only one of two pitchers to have three immaculate innings. The other guy with three immaculate innings is named Sandy Koufax

As for the team, they played well. There weren't any fielding or base running errors and while a few of them are still slumping at the plate, others seem to have come out of their funk. Dalbec in particular managed to smoke a three run homer in the second inning and then a two run homer in the seventh.

All-in-all they played decent ball last night. We'll have to wait and see what tonight brings.

Looks like New Orleans, a city that was built below sea level, is about to get run over by another hurricane.

I wonder how long it will take them to recover from this one.

Actually, what I really wonder is how much of my already stretched thin tax dollars will be spent helping them recover from this one...

Biden said something the other day that I didn't like. He said, That statement is designed to make him feel good. He should have said "These American service members who gave their lives were 18, 19, 20 year old kids who believed their commander & chief would never put them unnecessarily into harm's way." That would be more accurate. He also wouldn't be able to hide behind the word "hero" and make it sound like they knew what they were getting into.

Hey Biden, take responsibility for screwing this up. Own the fiasco that resulted in those deaths. And stop trying to pin the blame on "the previous administration" for cutting a deal with the taliban. You have been in office since January and you knew about the deal Trump cut. Yet you waited until now to order the departure with what appears to have been little planning or notice.

It's shit like this that makes me dislike all politicians. Liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, it doesn;'t matter. None of them have ever made me say, "Hey, that guy seems like a smart guy who is willing to listen to other smart guys and make an informed decision."

I'm going to run out and pick up some dinner. Then I'm going to come home and eat that dinner while first watching some evening news and then some baseball.
