Another embarrassing game

Don't get me wrong, they beat the Orioles but somehow they ended up in a triple play in the fourth inning.

How the hell do you get yourself into a triple play?

Easy.... No one runs.

The batter, Bradley, hit a short fly ball to center field.

He did not run to first because he was sure the outfielder was going to catch the ball.

The first base runner, Pedrioa, did not run to second he was sure the outfielder was going to catch the ball.

The second base runner, Moreland, did not run to third he was sure the outfielder was going to catch the ball.

The outfielder however had different plans and he missed the ball.

Moreland started to run to third when he saw the ball hit the ground but Hardy, the outfielder, threw the ball to the second baseman ho was able to tag Moreland. That's one out.

Then the second baseman then stepped on second base, getting the force out of Pedroia at second. That's two outs.

Then the second baseman threw the ball to the first baseman who stepped on the bag, getting the force out of Bradley. That's three outs.

It was an interesting and rare play but at it's best, it was embarrassing for the Red Sox.
