Since I know you're interested, I'll let you know that the tape let go on my laptop this morning so I went and got the "super tape" that I keep in my workbench. I only use it for special occasions because once you put it on, it doesn't like to come off.
The problem is that the CPU of the laptop is located in the same area where the case is cracked. This makes it one of the warmest places on the machine. Because of the heat, the tape adhesive tends to loosen fairly quickly. I'm hoping my super tape last until hell freezes over or I get a job, whichever comes first.
