The Yankees need to start losing

Eventually they will fall apart and go on a losing streak but it might be too late for the Red Sox to overtake them. They are at least thirteen games ahead of the Red Sox.

The Rays are one and a half games ahead of the Red Sox and the Blue Jays are three and a half games ahead. Hopefully they start to falter as well and the Red Sox move up in the wild card race. They are currently half a game out of the wild card, behind Terry Francona and the Guardians (Indians).

Tonight's game against the Cardinals starts at 7:00 and it will be a tough game for the Red Sox. The Cardinals have been playing some pretty good baseball and are in first place in the NL Central.

Our refrigerator decided to stop being a refrigerator this morning and we ended up shopping for a new one.

Apparently the only style of refrigerator being manufactured anymore is stainless steel. My wife does not like stainless steel.

Fortunately, they have what she wanted in black and she likes black. As a matter of fact, we already have a black dishwasher. She likes black so much that not only did we buy a new black refrigerator, we also got a new black stove and new black microwave/convection oven to replace the white ones we currently have.

Now, in her defense, the stove needed to be replaced simply because it think when we said we wanted it to cook at 375°, it decided that 300° was close enough. If we tried to compensate by setting it to 400° it decided we wanted it to be 500°

Also, the microwave/convection over was starting to have numerous little issues and it was starting to make a lot of grindeeee noises that to my untrained ear sounded like every bearing inside of it is starting to go.

So anyways, sometime next Friday, we should have all new appliances. In the meantime, all I can say is thank goodness we kept one of the many dorm refrigerators we've purchased over the years.

I'm going to watch some baseball.
