You would be wrong.
Austin Davis came in to start the ninth, got two quick outs and then proceeded to give up a double, then a triple and then hit a batter. All this resulted in 3 earned runs. That was when Cora decided he'd seen enough and he put Houck in.
Tanner Houck immediately gave up two doubles that resulted in one more earned run before he managed to strike out the final batter and end the game before I had a stroke.
Like I said yesterday, the Cardinals are playing some good baseball. This series is going to be a tough one. Hopefully tonight's game doesn't cause me to have a stroke.
In house hunting news, it looks like The Vet may be on the verge of becoming a homeowner.
Her bid on a house was accepted and pending the outcome of house inspection and title 5 certification, she will have a place to call her very own.
Once that happens, my wife and I will become day care for The Dog because we've decided she is not staying in a house by herself all day long while our daughter is working.
Exciting times.
Busy day tomorrow so I'm not sure when, or even if, there will be a post.
