If Brissett gets injured, expect to see Edelman as QB

The Patriots won today but not without suffering a loss.

Jimmy Garoppolo and a Dolphins player named Alonso both went down hard on Garoppolo's right shoulder. At first it looked to me like he might have broken his collar bone.

Hopefully Garoppolo has two more games in him because Brissett did okay but not great. As a matter of fact, the game was on the line during the last minute of play but the Dolphins couldn't pull it off.

So now that the Patriots are 2-0, Roger Goodell is probably throwing himself a little hissy fit. I picture him siting in the corner of his office with his knees pulled up against his chest, rocking back and forth and saying, "This is all Brady's fault!"

Oh, and in case you didn't see it, for a 6 foot tall, 250 pound guy, LeGarrette Blount can jump.

Speaking of sports, the Red Sox will play the Yankees at 8:00 tonight. This is because the boneheads at ESPN think people want to watch baseball games at 8:00 at night.

Someone needs to tell ESPN that no one wants to watch baseball at 8:00 at night.

Fortunately, the Red Sox are going into this game with a three game lead over both the Blue Jays and a two and a half game lead over the Orioles. It was a three game lead over both but the Orioles won this afternoon and grabbed that extra half game.

I'm hoping that when I wake up tomorrow morning I find out that the Red Sox are three games ahead of the Orioles and four games ahead of the Blue Jays.

That would be great.

I'm going to watch a few innings of baseball.
