Damp days, damp nights.

Thank goodness for air conditioning.


We got some much needed rain this afternoon and it looks like it may get a little more this evening.

My watering gig seems to be paying off and the chestnut tree appears to be making a comeback. There are several new green shoots popping out on a few branches and the few mature leaves that were left are still there and still green.

Guess the guy at the garden center was right.


The Red Sox and Blue Jays only managed to get in 2 innings before the rain hit and the game was cancelled. Too be honest with you, it's just as well because they weren't playing all the great.

Hopefully their home opener tomorrow night against the Orioles goes good for them.

And speaking of going better for them, a bunch of so-called "experts" over at CBS sports have made their predictions for the season. They all seem to think the Red Sox are going to suck and the New York Aaron Judges are going to win it all:

Since there is no baseball or hockey (or football or golf), I guess I'll be watching some DVRs this evening.
